Muse has a physical mute feature that turns off the microphone on the device. Tap and hold the microphone icon until the light on the device turns Red. This will indicate that Muse is muted. Tap and hold again to unmute.
The Muse device does not have local storage and does not record anything without being triggered by the user.
The only time Muse hears your audio is when you trigger Alexa and you are issuing a voice command. You can trigger Alexa by saying "Alexa", tapping the microphone icon on the device or tapping the Alexa icon in the app. Muse will show a Blue light when it can hear you. All audio that is recorded during this time is sent to Amazon Alexa Service so it can interpret your command and respond to your request.
